Spotted lanternflies returning to the Northeast
Spotted lanternflies are making their return to parts of the country. Exterminators visited a home in New Jersey treating areas where the invasive insects are popping up.
While spotted lanternflies do not pose a threat to humans, they cause billions of dollars a year in damage to crops, trees, and other plants in the U.S.
Experts said the extreme heat may be playing a part in their growth.
