Council members introduce new Philadelphia bike lane bill

Philadelphia is trying to make the streets safer for bicyclists. City council members introduced a new bill Thursday that would ban cars from stopping in any bike lane. It's already illegal to park in the bike lanes. If the new bill is passed, drivers caught stopping in a bike lane would be fined $125 in Center City and University City. The penalty anywhere else in the city is $75.
