West Norriton Township police officers were notified about the shooting at the Wawa on West Main Street shortly before 9:15 p.m. Friday. Investigators said six people were injured during the shooting and were brought to nearby hospitals for treatment. The victims' conditions are currently unknown.
Police in Montgomery County are investigating two separate shooting scenes they believe are connected. One was in West Norriton at a Wawa. Two people were taken to the hospital from the scene. The other was in nearby Bridgeport, where three more people were taken away for treatment. At the moment, there's no word on a motive or if anyone has been arrested.
Cheltenham High School's football season is on hold as the district investigates allegations of hazing within the program.
