Twenty-two people, including a father and daughter, were charged for their alleged involvement in a human trafficking ring primarily run out of a Northeast Philadelphia home from 2012 to 2023, the Pennsylvania attorney general announced Tuesday.

Kevin L. Smith, 29, of Philadelphia, pleaded guilty in December 2023 to one count of sex trafficking a minor, three counts of sex trafficking by force, threats of force, coercion and attempt.
Proceeds raised will support anti-human trafficking ministries, including the Salvation Army and Hannah's House in New Jersey.
