Double shooting in East Falls leaves woman dead: Police
The shooting happened around midnight on the 3100 block of Berkeley Drive. Police say they found a 59-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman shot inside a car.

Police say the three women were transported to Presbyterian Hospital. Two women are stable and one is in critical condition.
It happened around 11 p.m.Thursday on the 1300 block of Somerset Street.
Police have not made any arrests and there's no word on a motive at this time.
The shooting happened on the 5400 block of Akron Street.
Sources say the woman killed had just gotten a protection order against her accused killer.
The SEPTA police officer was not injured.
It happened around 8 a.m. near 12th and Ellsworth Streets.
According to Philadelphia police, the shooting happened on the 1900 block of Haworth Street just before 1 a.m.
Authorities say the shooting victim was in his 20s and was shot 11 times throughout the body.

The first shooting on Saturday happened on the 800 block of East Allegheny Avenue around 11 p.m. and left nine people injured, police say.
Nine people were shot and wounded late Saturday night near Kensington and Allegheny Avenues.
No arrests were made, according to police.
State police said troopers from Bloomsburg found the man "actively firing with a rifle." The officers "fired shots and the scene was secured," police said. No police were injured.
"We have some brazen individuals in the city that don't care," First Dep. John Stanford, of the Philadelphia Police Department, said.
All victims were transported to Temple University Hospital. Police believe there were multiple shooters involved.
The woman was taken to Temple University Hospital, police say. So far, there is no word on her condition.

Police say he was shot six times in the chest and left side. He was transported to Temple University Hospital.
Police responded to a man with a weapon and declared a barricade situation around 2:40 a.m. A SWAT team was called to the scene as well.
Authorities say a 42-year-old man was found just a few blocks away, on the 2600 block of Bancroft Street. The man was suffering from a gunshot wound to the right leg.
