Authorities have opened a criminal investigation into the incident, District Attorney Tim Cruz confirmed on Monday.

Police haven't said what the officer's condition is or if anyone in the other vehicle was injured.
Two teenage boys were in the car and while the driver sustained fatal injuries, police say, the passenger's injuries were less severe.
The officer died after a crash in the Somerton section of the city in late June. Philadelphia police identified the officer as Henry Gonski III.
Chopper 3 was over the scene in Mays Landing, just before 9 a.m. Thursday.
It happened on the 9600 block of Bustleton Avenue, just before 3 p.m.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
