Nothing gives the golf season a kick start like Masters Week, and some of the manufacturers and online retailers try to create a bigger buzz with giveaways. Here's a sampling:
In honor if the 20th anniversary of Fred Couples' Masters victory, Ashworth Golf is having a Major Style Giveaway. They're giving away 20 commemorative Ashworth Polos each day from now through April 8.
GolfEtail invites you to visit its Facebook page and pick the Masters winner and his four-round total. The winner of the contest gets their choice of a TaylorMade RocketballZ Driver or a GolfEtail Gift Card valued at $299 (they'll break ties with a random drawing).
And here's the big one: Golfsmith is partnering with Nike Golf for an exclusive Speed Trials Sweepstakes, and the winner will get to take three friends to Jupiter, Florida, to play nine holes of golf with Tiger Woods. Each member of the foursome will also receive a full set of VR_S clubs and be outfitted head-to-toe in Nike Golf apparel.
Here's how you enter:
Take your current clubs to the participating Golfsmith store in this area -- in Willow Grove, PA, on April 14, 28 or 29. You'll demo the newest Nike offerings, comparing any distance gains against your current driver, fairways and hybrids. You will also get a Nike 20XI two-ball pack (while supplies last) and be entered into the contest.
