Yeadon Police Searching For Suspect In Two Robberies
YEADON, Pa. (CBS) – Yeadon police are reaching out to the public for help finding a suspect who robbed a 7-Eleven store twice in the last few months.
Yeadon police officers responded to the store, located at 501 Church Lane in the Borough of Yeadon, on Wednesday to investigate reports of an armed robbery. Police viewed the store's surveillance footage and were able to see a black male enter the store shortly after 1 a.m. He then approached the clerk at the register and implied that he had a gun. The clerk grabbed the suspect's arm and a struggle ensued. The struggle eventually spilled out of the store and onto the sidewalk, where the clerk was able to pull the suspect's hooded sweatshirt off. As a result, the suspect fled the scene on foot heading north into the 400 block of Church Lane.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, believed to be in his early 30s, and approximately 185 lbs and 5'8"-5'11". He has close cropped hair, a light beard and a goatee. He was wearing a bluish-gray hooded sweatshirt, black warm up pants with a white stripe down each leg and black and white sneakers at the time of the robbery. He also walks with a distinguished limp involving his right foot and is thought to have a tattoo on his upper right arm.
The same male is believed to have robbed the same 7-Eleven back in April of this year.
