World No Tobacco Day Inspires Photo Exhibit At Criminal Justice Center

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia Department of Public Health posted a Smoking exhibit in the lobby of the Criminal Justice Center on Thursday in honor of World No Tobacco Day.
The exhibit included photos and quotes.
"Some of the quotations are from children it looks like," noted one visitor who stopped by to take a look at the exhibit.
"My mother died of lung cancer, so it's powerful," she said. "She smoked up until the day she died. I think that is a little bit of an indication of the power it has or the addictive qualities."
According to the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, smoking is the single leading preventable cause of death in the city.
"I know people who work in this building who are heavy smokers," the woman added.
Kuznits: "Well, they put it in the lobby. People have to walk by the lobby to get outside to smoke."
"Right," the woman responded. "And that's the other part. This is where everyone goes, right here."
