By Lynne Adkins
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Teen moms wanting to take their educations to the next level can attend a seminar with the information they need to succeed.
Monica Williams founded the Legacy Parenting Project because she was a teen mom and found few helpful resources. The parenting conference on May 25th at the Philadelphia Airport Marriott Hotel will feature agencies and groups aimed at helping young mothers succeed in college.
"The exhibitors and the vendors that we are going to have there are there for the girls to create a support system. So for instance, housing--there will be representatives from the Office of Supportive Housing and HUD that will be there, child care, child care informational systems…" Williams explains.
There will also be workshops on time and money management and officials from various local colleges. The event is free for any mother age 21 and younger. Find out more at www.legacyparenting.org.
