Woody Guthrie, Ray Charles Collections and Bjork Album Win GRAMMYS
The GRAMMYs mostly celebrates new music, but during the pre-televised ceremony, a few older recordings get awards. At today's pre-telecast, Fritz Klaetke won a GRAMMY for Best Boxed Or Special Limited Edition Package for Woody At 100: The Woody Guthrie Centennial Collection. Billy Vera, meanwhile, won Best Album Notes for his work on Ray Charles' Singular Genius: The Complete ABC Singles.
Meanwhile, Michael Amzalag and Mathias Augustyniak won a GRAMMY for Best Recording Package for Bjork's Biophilia. The elaborate box set includes tuning forks; each fork is adjusted to the tone of each of the tracks from Biophilia.That album is also up for Best Alternative Album.
