Woman Suffers Serious Burns In Oxford Circle House Fire

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A woman was rushed to the hospital with serious burns after a house fire in Northeast Philadelphia late Wednesday evening.
The fire started shortly after 11 p.m. inside a home in the 1400 block of Wellington Street in the city's Oxford Circle section.
Fire officials say a 60-year-old woman suffered 2nd degree burns to her face and extremities. The unidentified woman was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center.
Firefighters were able to place the fire under control in approximately 20 minutes.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
