Man Wanted For Allegedly Fatally Stabbing Ex-Girlfriend In Camden County
BERLIN, N.J. (CBS) - A woman is dead after being stabbed during what authorities believe to be a domestic dispute in Berlin, New Jersey Wednesday night.
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says Berlin Township Police were called to a home on the 100 block of Patton Avenue around 10:15 p.m. regarding reports of an assault.
Arriving officers found 39-year old Carole Bowne lying on the driveway in front of the home, suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was taken to Virtua Hospital, where she was pronounced dead about an hour later.
Authorities say 45-year-old Michael Eitel, of Berlin Township, is charged with first-degree murder in her death.
Officials say Eitel is Bowne's ex-boyfriend and she had an active restraining order against him.
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says a warrant has been issued for Eitel's arrest and he is being sought by a U.S. Marshals Service Task Force.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Eitel is urged to call 911 immediately.
