Police: Female Store Owner Stabbed During Robbery In South Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) –- Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect they say stabbed a female store owner during a robbery Thursday morning.
The incident occurred at about 10:45 a.m. at the Good and Plenty mini-mart at Snyder Avenue and South 12th Street in South Philadelphia.
According to investigators, the suspect entered the store and demanded money. During the robbery, police say the suspect stabbed the owner of the store in her neck.
The suspect then ran out of the store and was last seen on 12th Street.
The unidentified victim was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where she is listed in stable condition.
Investigators say the suspect stolen an undetermined amount of cash.
So far, no arrests have been made.
The incident remains under investigation.
