Woman Sexually Assaulted In Wilmington Park

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – A woman was reportedly sexually assaulted in a Wilmington Park late Thursday night.

The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. on Thursday in Kosciuszko Park near the 700 block of S Broom Street. The victim told police she was walking in the 500 block of S Franklin Street when she was confronted by the suspect, who was armed with a black handgun.

The suspect then forced her into the park and sexually assaulted her.

The victim was treated at the scene before being transported to the CER.

The suspect is described as a clean shaven black male in his mid-20s with a medium complexion. He is about 170 lbs and around 5'9" – 5'11" and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
