Woman Sentenced In Wild Camden-Philly Police Chase Involving Stolen Cop Cars

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The female half of the couple, that led police in Camden and Philadelphia on a wild and dangerous ride in March (see related story), has been sentenced to prison.
Shayna Sykes, who was high on heroin and cocaine at the time of the crimes, has been sentenced to three to eight years in prison.
The defense told the court 24-year-old Shayna Sykes can't believe the decisions she made. Prosecutor Guy D'Andrea says Sykes, along with her boyfriend, Blake Bills, who is also charged, stole a police car in Camden, fled over to Philadelphia. And after they were stopped by Philadelphia Police, Bills was arrested, but Sykes thought it would be a good idea to steal another police cruiser leading to a crash.
"She knocked over an elderly woman, crashed into a box truck that was being driven by an individual who was just going about his day working that day," D'Andrea said.
These two people were injured and a Camden police officer was seriously injured when he was hit by the stolen cruiser there.
Bills' case is still open, and he faces a court hearing later this week.
