Woman Killed in Hit-Run Accident in Frankford

Philadelphia police say an unidentified woman is dead after being struck while riding her bicycle in the city's Frankford section early today.The woman was not carrying any form of identification.
Police have recovered a black ford Taurus involved in an early morning accident that killed the woman who was riding her bike.
Police say the deadly incident happened around 12:15am at the intersection of Adams and Torresdale Avenues.
The driver abandoned the damaged Taurus nearby in the 2100 block of Gillingham Street and apparently fled on foot. The suspect remains at large.
The victim was pronounced dead at Hahnemann University hospital.
