Police: Woman Arrested In Wilmington After Overdosing On Heroin
WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) - A 21-year-old woman who Wilmington Police resuscitated after she was found unresponsive in front of a CVS Pharmacy Friday afternoon was later arrested on drug charges, according to authorities.
At about 2:15 p.m., police were called out to the CVS Pharmacy parking lot in the 1000 block of Delaware Avenue after someone reported seeing an unresponsive female, slumped over the wheel of a car with a small child inside.
Upon their arrival, police attempted to revive Kasey Coldiron, of Cochranville, Pennsylvania, who they say was found with an undetectable pulse. The victim was taken by ambulance to Wilmington Hospital where efforts to save her were successful. The little boy was unharmed and taken to police headquarters.
An investigation revealed that Coldiron had overdosed on heroin which she had recently purchased, police said. Coldiron was subsequently arrested and charged with Reckless Endangering 1st, endangering the welfare of a child, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was committed to Baylor Women's Correctional Facility on $1,100 secured bail.
Another 18-year old male, Jordan Cazillo of Parkesburg, who was in the vehicle with Coldiron was also arrested and charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child. He was also committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution after failing to post his $100.00 cash bail.
