Woman, 82, Granddaughter Victims Of Home Invasion
NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) -- New Castle County Police say an 82-year-old woman and her 24-year-old granddaughter were victims of a home invasion.
It happened Sunday about 4:30 a.m. in Wilmington. Police say three men entered the home at gunpoint and forced the granddaughter to give them cash from the home.
The 82-year-old woman was asleep and awoke to one of the suspects standing in the doorway of her bedroom.
After taking items from the home, the suspects fled. The two women were not injured.
