Witness Gives Details Of Fatal Shooting Inside Frankford Bar
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A witness to a murder inside a Frankford nuisance bar details the shooting death of her friend and the security inside the now-closed T&T lounge.
The witness has testified there was an argument over a woman.
Defendant Tyrese Ford flashed a gun and said he didn't fight, but victim Christopher Spence punched Ford in the head and according to the witness, Ford pulled out the gun and shot Spence in the chest.
Spence's mother, Javeze Phelps Washington, who successfully protested to close the bar after the shooting, wants justice.
"Christopher was a ray of hope for everybody. He made people smile. He was funny. He was witty. He cared about people. None of this will bring my son back. I don't know it makes me feel better, just so he doesn't get away with what he done."
The witness testified security patted down patrons for weapons and armed guards worked the bar for security.
The defense is conceding nothing, and attorney Kenneth Young says Ford will plead not guilty.
