With Euro Costing Less These Days, Dollar Value Will Take You Farther Than Before

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- With the falling value of the Euro, this year might be a year to get a great price on travel through Europe.
Suzanne Shank, Owner Atlas Travel East Norriton, says a Euro/dollar exchange rate of under 1 to 1.15 is almost unheard of.
"It's beyond amazing. It truly is making me want to run out, just go to your bank and buy a few hundred dollars worth (of Euros.) It will be worth it."
And she says with those Euros costing a little less these days, your dollar will take you farther than ever before.
"They certainly should be able to get more value for their dollar, so if they're thinking should I go this year or next year, it might just be the year to go!"
However Shank says while you might have a little more spending money once you arrive overseas, it'll still cost you the same amount to get there.
"I haven't seen where the airlines are playing fair; their prices, with what I've been pricing, are similar to what they were last year."
