With Huge Obama Event Scheduled for Philadelphia, Romney Supporters Fight Back

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Female voters are being courted in an Obama presidential campaign event tonight at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
Titled the "Women Vote 2012 Summit," it features musician Alicia Keys and Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
The event, designed to spotlight the Obama administration's efforts on behalf of women, is free and open to the public.
And before the Obama event, women who support his Republican rival, Mitt Romney, staged an event of their own today, at JFK Plaza in center city.
Approximately a dozen women, including Chester County sheriff Carolyn "Bunny" Welsh, chanted in support of Romney. Welsh said the sagging economy during Obama's first term has been harder on women.
"Women have a tougher time finding work, getting work, living day-to-day. With the current economic trend under this president, women will continue to be the victims," Welsh (at lectern in photo) said.
Welsh was joined by Renee Amoore, deputy chairwoman of the Pennsylvania Republican Party (at right, in dark dress).
"Obama has said he's treating women the right way. He's going in the wrong direction. We want Romney for president," Amoore said, promising that before November, Romney will state his position on the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, signed by Obama in 2009.
