Winter Storm Debris Removal Information For Jersey Shore Residents
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- As residents clean up following last weekend's winter storm, municipalities at the Jersey Shore are offering debris removal programs or have designated locations to take debris.
AVALON
Officials say that property owners in Avalon will have the ability to place debris created by the weekend winter storm curbside for collection. If property owners in Avalon have any debris from their property that they wish to dispose of, officials say it may be placed curbside in Avalon anytime from Monday, January 25 through Sunday, January 31. The Avalon Department of Public Works will collect the debris through Friday, February 5.
If property owners have recovered any hazardous materials on their property from the storm that they wish to dispose of, officials say place this material curbside and please call the Avalon Department of Public Works at (609) 967-7697. Any hazardous material to be collected must be identifiable as to its contents. These materials include propane bottles, paints, oil, and the like. This shall be debris from the storm or material damaged in a property from the storm.
OCEAN CITY
Trash pickup has resumed a regular schedule. Officials say refrigerators can be taken to the curb, but doors must be removed. Carpet must be cut into pieces, rolled and tied.

SEA ISLE CITY
Officials say Sea Isle City's Department of Public Works is working to clear debris from the City's other roadways. While roads are passable, there are still stones and other debris on some of Sea Isle's streets, so please drive carefully at all times.
Some of Sea Isle's dunes and beach entrances were damaged during the storm (particularly in the downtown area). Officials say to please use caution whenever you are near the beach.
Officials say residents and property owners can leave bulk trash and other storm-damaged items on the curb. The Department of Public Works will collect those items in a timely manner. If at all possible, please try to place your regular household trash on the curb on your usual trash and recycling collection days only so the DPW can focus on hauling-away as much storm-related trash as possible. The City's Trash & Recycling Depot, located under the Sea Isle Bridge, will be open for trash and recycling drop-offs until 5 p.m. each day through Sunday, January 31.
STONE HARBOR
The Borough of Stone Harbor has announced that property owners in Stone Harbor will have the ability to place debris created by the weekend winter storm curbside for collection. If property owners in Stone Harbor have any debris from their property that they wish to dispose of officials say it may be placed curbside anytime from Monday, January 25 through Sunday, February 7. The Department of Public Works will collect the debris through Monday, February 8.

Any hazardous material to be collected must be identifiable as to its contents. These materials include propane bottles, paints, oil, and the like. NORTH WILDWOOD
Dumpsters are available for use at the Bayfront Park (Boat Ramp) - 5th and New York Avenues, according to police. Dumpsters provided at this location are only for damaged properties including: furniture, carpets, etc., and recycling items should be delivered to the recycling center or left curbside for pickup in accordance with the regular schedule. Residency will be checked for those using the dumpsters. Property owners are also reminded to bag any straw grass, weeds, plant life etc. for pickup, to avoid plant/tree debris from blowing around town.
Police say no white goods or appliances or recyclables should be placed in the dumpsters, please put them curbside for normal pickup - request appliance pick up by calling (609) 522-4646.
WILDWOOD
All residents affected by Jonas can place their flood debris curbside or take it to the Recycling Center at Spicer and Susquehanna Avenues (7 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.)

The City of Wildwood Recycling Center will be open this weekend January 30 and 31 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
WEST WILDWOOD
The Borough of West Wildwood asks property owners to place all damaged goods, storm debris and salthay curbside. Staff will handle the removal of these items as quickly as possible. Anyone needing further assistance should contact the borough office at 609-522-4845.
