Wilmington Police Make 3 Arrests Following Thefts From Vehicles

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) - Police in Wilmington apprehended three suspects they believe may have been involved in several thefts from vehicles around the neighborhood.

While police were conducting a routine patrol at about 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, they spotted three suspicious males carrying book bags near 14th and Woodlawn Avenue.

According to authorities, one of the officers, Master Corporal John Burns, received information earlier that the subjects were trying to break into cars in the area. Corporal Burns, along with other officers, were able to arrest the suspects after a brief foot chase.

They arrested Ralph Walls, 20, of Wilmington, Seanice Mccall, 28, of New Jersey, and a 14-year-old male. All three were charged with resisting arrest. Further charges will be made once victims come forward and there is positive identification of stolen items.

The book bags the suspects were carrying were found to contain numerous items which appeared to have been removed from vehicles, officials said. If anyone had items removed from their vehicle this past Friday evening into Saturday morning please contact Master Corporal John Burns at 302-576-3691.
