Wilmington Police Honor 3-Year-Old Boy For Saving Aunt
WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) - A three-year-old Wilmington boy will be honored next week for saving his aunt after she suffered a seizure.
At about 3 p.m. on Thursday, police say Tyrone Copeland Jr. was playing in Speakman Park when his aunt suddenly suffered a seizure.
Realizing his aunt needed help, police say Tyrone ran across the park and asked a person to call 911.
When police arrived, Tyrone was able to provide officers with his aunt's name, as well as his own name and address while his aunt received medical attention.
Police were able to locate the boy's father who later arrived at the park.
The Wilmington Department of Police Neighborhood Policing Unit will officially recognize Tyrone for his heroic actions.
