Wilmington Man Charged In 3-Vehicle Crash

NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say a Wilmington man has been charged with drunken driving, vehicular assault and other counts for a three-vehicle accident that injured six in New Castle.

State Police say 33-year-old Robert Steele fled the scene on foot, but was arrested shortly after the Saturday night crash.

State Police say the crash, which occurred about 7 p.m., closed New Castle Ave. for about four hours while the accident was cleared and investigated.

Delaware State Police say none of the injuries were believed tobe life-threatening.
