1 Clerk Dead, 1 Hospitalized In Wilmington Convenience Store Shooting

WILMINGTON, Del., (CBS) – Police say one store clerk is dead and another clerk is hospitalized after a shooting at a Wilmington convenience store Friday night.

The incident happened at 6:20 p.m. at the Printz Convenience Store on the 2700 block of Northeast Boulevard.

Wilmington Police responded to the store after receiving a 911 call reporting a shooting.

When officers arrived, authorities say they found two store clerks inside the store suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Both victims were taken to Christiana Hospital.

According to police, a 29-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the hospital.  He is identified by police as Toney Berry, of Wilmington.

The second victim, a 31-year-old man, is listed in critical condition.

Police say they are searching for three male suspects.

One suspect is described as a Black male in his twenties, 6'2", weighing 140-160 pounds. A second suspect is described as a Black male in his late teens, 5'7", with a stocky build.  A third suspect is described as short, stocky, with a dark complexion.

Authorities say the suspects were last seen running west on W. 26th Street.

The motive remains unclear at this time.
