Willow Grove Mom Goes To Jail For Having Sex With Son's Teammates
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A 37-year-old married Montgomery County woman will spend at least nine months behind bars for having sex with two teenage boys who played football with her son at Abington High School last year.
Judge Steven O'Neill told the court that Jennie Lee's moral compass didn't kick in to say that what she was doing was wrong. He sentenced the Willow Grove woman to nine to 23 months followed by four years probation after she pleaded guilty to statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors.
Lee was having conversations on Facebook with a 17-year-old that escalated to sexual encounters with him and later his 15-year-old friend.
"We have a moral duty to make sure that we are not corrupting and we're not taking advantage of positions of authority in order to satisfy our own sexual gratifications and that's what she did in this situation," Prosecutor Matthew Quigg said.
The defense says Lee suffers from bipolar disorder and her medication could have affected her judgment. Lee accepted responsibility and says she's ashamed. Both boys have transferred to other schools.
