Wife Of Convicted Abortion Doctor Sentenced To 7-23 Months
PHILADELPHIA (CBS/AP) – The wife of convicted abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell has received a seven to 23 months sentence.
Pearl Gosnell says she's sorry for trusting her husband, who was convicted of murder this month in the deaths of three babies born alive at his clinic. She says her husband, Kermit, is a coward for not speaking at his trial or apologizing.
Fifty-one-year-old Pearl, wife of Kermit Gosnell, was sentenced to seven to 23 months with a two-and-a-month credit for time served; she was also promised parole after serving a minimum.
Pearl pleaded guilty to performing abortions after the 24th week of gestation and to two counts of consipiracy in 2011.
She has spent two years on house arrest.
