Whether For Sport Or Food, Fishermen Are Out Along The Delaware

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Many fishing along area rivers say they do it for the sport. They catch the fish, maybe take a video or picture, then throw it back.
One of them, Al Smith, who is from North Philadelphia, proudly showed off a recent catch he documented on video using his smartphone.
"A flat head cat fish," said Smith.
And how big is that?
"Oh, I don't know, about 20 pounds, something like that. So that [is] the type of size of fish that is in the water."
Others actually eat the fish they catch, like Michael Casurra.
"I have caught catfish in the Delaware. I have eaten those before," said Casurra.
The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission has a consumption advisory table that has the water body listed, the area under advisory, the species & and how much can be consumed per month due to possible contaminants such as PCB or Mercury.
