PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Just in time for holiday entertaining, a newly expanded PLCB Wine and Spirits Shop has opened in South Philadelphia, at 724 South Street.
"The size of the place doubled," notes Michael Harris, executive director of the South Street Headhouse District (top photo). "They have a new 'chairman's selection' wall, with 55 chairman's selections. The whole place was redone -- new floors, new ceilings, new lights, new paint, and the outside is beautiful too."

Meanwhile, Brenda Morgan, associate manager at Williams-Sonoma at the Bellevue (Broad and Walnut Streets), says the store is getting ready for the holidays with a weekly breakfast for shoppers.
"We are making waffles for breakfast. We'll have other items as well on different Wednesdays, at 8 in the morning," she adds.
----
Morgan says Williams-Sonoma is also inviting folks to come and check out their December holiday cooking demonstrations.
"We offer free technique classes and tastings on Sundays," Morgan says.

And upstairs on the nineteenth floor of the Bellevue, at the restaurant Nineteen (XIX), general manager Adam Judeh (below) says the restaurant is rolling out its annual "Nutcracker Tea," throughout the month of December. He says a lot of customers bring their young daughters for a holiday treat.
-----
"They all take a lot of care and a lot of time in getting really dressed up, and it's very cute to see all the little princesses come up in their little ballet outfits," Judeh says.
