What's Cooking on 1060: Pizza, and What's Open in Philly?
By Hadas Kuznits
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A new sports bar and grill opened this month, at 1612 South Street.
"We have some great wings, pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, we also have slider options, salad, soup," says Sam Brouwer (top photo), managing partner of Founding Fathers. "The pizza we have is gluten-free."

In other pizza news, Liberty Hall Pizza opens this Saturday, December 20th, in Lambertville, NJ.
----
"It's traditional Neapolitan pizza," says co-owner and pizza maker Chris Bryan. "It's made in a wood-fire brick oven. The oven gets to about 850 degrees, so that allows all the ingredients to kind of cook at the same time so nothing really dries out. And it creates a great, chewy, puffy crust."

And with Christmas coming up next week, where is there to eat?
"Go to Twitter and type in #OpenInPHL, and we encourage all the restaurants and bars to post what they're doing, their hours, and simply are they (open)?" suggests Kory Aversa of Aversa Public Relations (below). "And the other thing is to go there for last-minute reservations that might open up, too."
He says the hashtag #OpenInPHL started in 2005, during Hurricane Katrina.
"Philadelphia Magazine Foobooz (online food blog) actually started the hashtag because people needed to know where to go for food or for drink," he recalls. "It was that terrible weather. (So) it was something that they came up with that really picked up."
