What's Cooking on 1060: Beerfest, Fall Fest, and a Book About Philly Dining
By Hadas Kuznits
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- McFadden's, at Citizens Bank Park, hosts a beerfest at the ballpark this Saturday, September 15th.
"The Beerfest is held annually," says Mark Maggi (top photo), the bar's director of marketing and special events. "It's down here, and it's just a celebration of good beer -- a lot of the different craft breweries, all provided through Penn Distributors. Beers like Victory, Magic Hat, Rogue, Ithaca. And it's just food and beverage, and just a good time."

If beer's not your thing, Corie Moskow, executive director of Rittenhouse Row, says you can try some cocktails at the eighth annual Fall Festival, which is part of the Philadelphia Collection (a collection of Philadelphia fashion events), at the Comcast Center on Thursday, September 20th.
"We are one of the marquee events," Moskow (below) tells KYW Newsradio, "and we started eight years ago as a celebration of fall fashion and fall mixology trends, with the attempt of getting young professionals back into the Philly spirit after spending the summer at the beach."

And for cooking inspiration, pick up a copy of author April White's new book, Philadelphia Chef's Table.
"This book is a celebration of the Philadelphia restaurant scene," White (below) says. "It has a collection of recipes from 60 Philadelphia restaurants, all of your favorites, and it's just a snapshot of the exciting stuff that's going on right now."
