PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The fifth annual Second Street Festival takes place in Northern Liberties this Sunday, August 4th.
"The 2nd Street Festival is a seven-block block party. It takes place every year," says festival director Nicky Devine (below). "It includes mostly craft and food vendors, and then we have big beer gardens."

A Philly-based chef has opened a new restaurant at the Jersey shore -- in Wildwood Crest, NJ.

"We're doing some real traditional things along with slight twists," says chef Al Paris of Coastal Blue, in the Hotel Icona on Diamond Beach. "I'm doing beach bonfire mussels with choriso. I'm doing beautiful Maine lobster rolls and lobster bisque. We have a beautiful daily-made gaspacho with roaster shrimp."

And if you're looking for a kid-friendly event this weekend, check out the Strawberry Festival Featuring Strawberry Shortcake, in the lower level of the Comcast Center on Sunday, August 3rd.
Nicolas Bardon-Desegonzac, retail director of the shops at the Comcast Center (right), says the event runs 11am to 3pm, and it's free.
"All the children are going to be greeted by the Strawberry Shortcake (cartoon character)," he tells What's Cooking. "There will be free tastings of strawberry smoothies, we'll have strawberry cupcake decorating, we'll have cooking demos, we'll have a strawberry scavenger hunt. There will be a strawberry shortcake coloring activity, and then obviously there's some prizes."
