Official: 1 Person Dies In West Philadelphia Fire
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – One person has died after flames ripped through a home in West Philadelphia.
It happened just before 9 p.m. on the 5300 block of Race Street.
Chopper 3 was over the scene as firefighters worked to contain the blaze that engulfed two rowhomes.
Authorities tell CBS3 that one person was found dead after the flames were extinguished.
It is unknown if there were working smoke alarms in the house.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
