West Philadelphia Teen Mom Charged With Leaving Baby In Bathtub
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A 16-year-old West Philadelphia girl is under arrest for allegedly leaving her six-month-old baby in a bathtub full of water.
Police in the Special Victims Unit say the young mom was giving her baby a bath when she heard an argument elsewhere in the house and left the baby in the tub at about 10 PM Sunday night.
When she came back, the baby was fully submerged and unresponsive.
The baby boy was rushed to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where it was listed in critical condition.
The mother, whose name was not released because of her age, now faces charges of endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment.
