West Philadelphia Man Gets Additional 85-230 Years For 2008 Attacks

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A 25-year-old West Philadelphia man, already serving a 70-year sentence for a home invasion attack in Lock Haven, Pa., has now been sentenced to an additional 85 to 230 years for two similar attacks here in 2008 (see related story).

Prosecutor Mark Cipollietti says Domenique Wilson showed "absolute brutality and depravity" and enjoyed it.

Domenique Wilson targeted one couple in center city Philadelphia and held them at knifepoint; both were bound, taunted, and tortured.  The female victim was raped and both were threatened with death. He asked them if they "wanted it in the stomach or in the throat."

The second attack targeted female roommates in University City. They were brutalized at gun and knifepoint, and one of them was raped repeatedly.

In a letter to the court, read by prosecutor Catherine Thurston, the woman in the Center City case said she has since moved out of the country but there is no escaping the fear and suffering.

" 'Because you invaded my home, kept me prisoner for hours, and attacked me repeatedly in my own bedroom,' " Thurston read aloud in court, " 'I no longer have a place in the world that makes me feel safe.  Not a single one.' "

And directing her statement to Wilson, she said, " 'With one selfish and disgusting act, you destroyed every part of my life.  Do you understand that, Domenique Wilson?  You destroyed every part of my life.' "
