400 Exotic & Classic Cars Rally At Wells Fargo Center To Support Science Technology & Math Education
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- On Sunday, June 11, some 400 classic and exotic cars will converge on the Wells Fargo Center for a Super Car Show to cap a 5-day series of events promoting Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) education. The program is hosted by CF Charities, in collaboration with the Nike Jordan Brand, the School District of Philadelphia, and Mayor's Office of Education.
The event will start with a cavalcade of a 100 Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Bugattis, McLarens, Porsches, Bentleys and other classic collector cars doing a 5-mile police motorcycle escorted loop from the Wells Fargo Center up Broad Street and the Ben Franklin Parkway and then back to the sports complex.
In addition to the eye-popping line-up of privately owned exotics and classics, the Super Car show will feature live entertainment, food and refreshments, and specialty vendors and displays and information about STEM educational initiatives here in the Philadelphia area.
The recent wave of innovation and technology in the automotive industry has been a major driver in the heightened interest STEM education.
