Week 14: Eagles Studs And Duds
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- It was supposed to be the day the Eagles made a statement. The day the Eagles solidified themselves as a Super Bowl contender and a powerhouse in the NFC.
It never happened.
The Seahawks manhandled the Eagles, limiting them to only 139 yards of total offense en route to a 24-14 win at Lincoln Financial Field. It was cold, miserable Sunday in South Philadelphia.
Duds
3. LeSean McCoy
Shady just never got going all day, running for just 50 yards on 17 carries (2.9 yards per carry). More significant, however, was his second-half opening carry which resulted in a McCoy fumble giving the Seahawks the ball on the Eagles' 20-yard line. Seattle capitalized on the turnover and the Eagles never recovered.
2. Malcolm Jenkins
Jenkins was beat all over the field, primarily by Doug Baldwin, who finished the game with five catches for 97 yards and a touchdown. It was Jenkins' worst game as an Eagle.
1. Mark Sanchez
Ten completions on 20 pass attempts for 96 yards. More than the numbers though, Sanchez seemed extremely limited against an elite Seattle defense. So, let the quarterback controversy begin...again.
Studs
3. Cedric Thorton
The Eagles "front" continues to dominate and prove itself as elite. Cedric Thorton doesn't put up the gaudy numbers, but continues to be impressive for the Birds. He deserves some recognition.

2. Fletcher Cox
Like Thorton, Cox's numbers are relatively tame, but you can make the case Cox has been the Eagles' most valuable player. That's how good he has been this season, a sure-fire Pro Bowl defensive lineman. Cox was brilliant on Sunday once again, accumulating a season high 11 total tackles.

1. Mychal Kendricks
I thought this was Kendricks' best game of his career. The dude was flying all over the place, trying to track down the NFL's most elusive quarterback in Russell Wilson. Kendricks finished with 11 total tackles and a forced fumble, but the stats don't even tell the whole story. He had a major positive impact on the game, and the biggest part of the Eagles' success on defense.
