Wednesday's Child: Tajon
By Larry Kane
Produced by Timothy McLaughlin
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Tajon looks like any other nine-year-old; he loves candy and Chuck E. Cheese.
But he has a grown-up attitude. For example: he likes to help out with groceries.
"I pick out the stuff that I need first and then I pick out the stuff that I want," he said recently.
His spirit of helpfulness even extends to his career ambitions -- he says he wants to be a firefighter.
"Because I like to help people in need."
(Kane:) "That is a good answer. So, if somebody's got a problem, you want to fix it for them?"
(Tajon:) "Uh-huh."
Gloria Hochman, of the National Adoption Center, based in Philadelphia, says Tajon would make a great addition to any family.
"He is a very responsible little boy," Hochman tells KYW Newsradio. "He likes to take care of things. And he likes to help. And it's really important that children at his age and any age have a family. They deserve a family."
