Wednesday's Child: Symar

By Larry Kane
Produced by Timothy McLaughlin

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Symar is a 16-year-old who loves performing.

"I'm a natural talent. Dancing, a tiny bit of gymnastics, and I'm really good at drawing and decorating. And I'm also good at fashion."

And has a distinct sense of style, "One day I could be edgy-chic and then the next day I could be sporty-lazy. And then it could go to like punk, 80's."

But the most important thing for Symar is finding a supportive family.

"I mean, support is one thing, but loving and caring ties -- all that ties into support. When you care for somebody as well, that's an extra push. That's like, 'hey, I'm here. I care about you, I want you to succeed.'"

Gloria Hochman, from the Philadelphia-based National Adoption Center, says a supportive, nurturing family would be blessed to have Symar.

"I think that a family who is open and caring would be a wonderful family for Symar."
