Wednesday's Child: Shaleenee
By Larry Kane
Produced by Timothy McLaughlin
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Shaleenee loves to cook. She even attends culinary school. She describes one of her favorite recipes. It started with just a few ingredients.
"I bought, do you know those seedless sunflower seeds?" she says. "And almonds and cashews and M&M's."
And then -- the good stuff.
"And then, I melted marshmallows in the pot, so it melts when you put butter in it," she says. "And then I took the nuts and I put it in there, and I made trail mix."
Even though Shaleenee is 19, Gloria Hochman from the Philadelphia-based National Adoption Center says, she still needs a family.
"It's really important that Shaleenee finds a family that can give her guidance and structure," Hochman says, "and help her decide on what she wants to do with the rest of her life, college, career."
