Wednesday's Child: Kenny
By Larry Kane
Produced by Timothy McLaughlin
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Thirteen year old Kenny dreams of being a superhero one day, "like Superman and Spiderman."
But, more important than swinging between buildings or shooting lasers from his eyes, he says he wants to help people.
For now, though, he's not talking damsels in distress. He likes accomplishing his chores at the home where he now lives:
"Help outside, do my work, vaccuum cleaner, dust the downstairs, and sweep the garage."
Gloria Hochman, of the Philadelphia-based National Adoption Center, says Kenny needs a committed "forever" family.
"Hearing him express himself can really bring tears to your eyes," Hochman says. "He's a very intelligent, very caring young man who is kind, and is sweet, and loves people and wants people to love him."
