Wednesday's Child: Jasper
By Larry Kane
Produced by Timothy McLaughlin
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- At 14, Jasper has an unusual career ambition:
(Jasper:) "An R.C. specialist."
(Larry Kane:) "What does that mean?"
(Jasper:) "It means making these remote controlled mini-vehicles and controlling them."
His backup career? A chef. He tells Gloria Hochman, of the National Adoption Center in Philadelphia, about his favorite food to make:
(Jasper:) "Breakfast."
(Hochman:) "Breakfast? What do you like to make?"
(Jasper:) "Bacon and eggs and… more bacon."
With so many interests, Hochman says, Jasper needs the support of a loving, permanent family.
"He wants a family that will help him realize his ambitions," she tells Wednesday's Child. "He is fourteen -- just at the point where we don't want him to give up hope of finding a family."
