Wednesday's Child: Jamir

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Eight-year-old Jamir is full of energy. He loves superheroes and wants to be a firefighter or a police officer one day.
For now, he's looking for a forever family. One that can take him places.
"Like, to go out to dinner, go shopping, and go to the mall."
What does he like about the mall?
"You get to go to the candy aisle!"
His social worker, Cambria Hooven, says Jamir would fit into any family, so long as they're dedicated.
"He is very imaginative and creative and curious and inquisitive," she tells KYW Newsradio. "He has a lot of questions about the world and how things work."
Gloria Hochman of the National Adoption Center says Jamir's ambition to be a firefighter is telling.
"Behind all of this veneer of being funny and peppy, he really wants... The help he wants himself, he wants to give other people," she says.
