Wedding Follows Child Birth For Couple At Crozer-Chester Medical Center

UPLAND, Pa. (CBS) -- Most people consider the birth of their child or their wedding day the best day of their life.
But for one Delaware County couple, they experienced both thrilling events in about an hour.
Latanya and Marquise Walker, both of Chester, were scheduled to get married on Tuesday, but their little bundle of joy decided she wanted to arrive in time for the wedding.
Earlier than expected, Latanya gave birth to Makayla Kenzie Walker at 12:57 p.m. Monday at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland. Makayla weighed in at a healthy 7 pounds and was 19 inches.
Thanks to some quick-planning and the determination and spirit from the couple and maternity nurses at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, the couple was married shortly after their daughter's birth.
The ceremony took place in the couple's private room inside the hospital by Rev. Joel B. McGee.
