PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A new analysis of online takeout orders indicates the pickiest eaters in the nation are college students from Philadelphia.
According to the online takeout ordering website Grubhub (www.grubhub.com), four Philadelphia universities made it to their top ten list of pickiest eaters. University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, Drexel University and the University of the Sciences came in 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th (respectively) on the list of schools where students have the most instructions for special preparations.
"Well I'm a vegetarian, and then on top of that I don't like to eat other certain foods," said a student.
"I could definitely see it because a lot of people come from different places and have particular eating habits and stuff," said another student.
Penn and University of the Sciences students are also on the top ten polite list -- with students from the University of Pennsylvania ranking #1 with the highest percentage of orders that included the words please and thank you.
"I'm pretty polite, I would agree with that! Not to toot my own horn or the university's horn but I think it's definitely more of the culture here,' said a student.
