WEATHER: Pleasant Forecast For Next Few Days
By Geoff Bansen
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It was an unusually cool but refreshing start to the day across much the Delaware Valley. A much more refreshing air mass is firmly in place, and will be bringing tranquil, pleasant weather for the next several days.
The area of low pressure that brought clouds and showers Monday night into Tuesday morning continues to spin away up into Canada. But other than some clouds well up to the north and west of Philadelphia, Wednesday will be a gorgeous day with abundant sunshine and average highs in the low to mid 80s.
It will be more smooth sailing right on through the weekend, with temperatures gradually approaching 90 once again by the start of the new week. We will continue to keep an eye (no pun intended) on tropical storm Erika, who is now nearing the Caribbean Islands as it continues to churn towards the U.S.
