Weather: Halloween Forecast Not So Scary
By Geoff Bansen
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- For those of you hoping for a dry Halloween, you're in luck. Dry weather will continue over the next few days.
Friday will start off with brilliant sunshine, before a few afternoon clouds make their way in. The bigger story is the cool change in temperatures, after hitting 72 the past two days. We'll only get to near 60 this afternoon, and that's it!
Temperatures will really plummet tonight, falling into the low 40s in Philly and upper 30s in outlying areas. Saturday will feature more of the same, mainly sunny skies and highs in the upper 50s. Clouds will increase during the second half of the day, making for mostly cloudy but dry and fairly pleasant trick-or-treating weather. Temperatures during prime costume hours will be generally in the low 50s.
Sunday will be a much cloudier day, with some breaks of sun but a sprinkle possible, but temperatures will be milder; a sign of things to come for next week.
