WEATHER BLOG: Super Sunday

By Carol Erickson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The 'no weather' problems weekend continues. Super might be too strong an adjective for the weather today, but it will be close.

Temperatures should reach the same level as Saturday – 69 degrees. With the chilly air high in the atmosphere, a few extra clouds can't be ruled out for the afternoon, and a few of those might have the potential to drop a sprinkle. But focusing on the small chance of a small shower is probably not the way to assess the weather today.

Focus instead on what is right with the weather  – mild temperatures and some sun. With high pressure coming steadily into the picture over the next few days, temperatures will warm up and the skies should remain sunny on Monday and Tuesday. By Wednesday, shower chances roll our way.

A warm front brings the  extra clouds and the beginnings of what could turn out to be a several day period of chances of showers and thunderstorms.  The weather needs to get its act in order because the Memorial Day weekend getaway starts Friday.
